ALTR opened with a narrow mandate — to source matcha directly from the people who grow it, and to serve it the way the leaf asks to be served. We don't chase volume. We list a small number of blends, change them with the harvest, and ground every tin the morning we pour it.

The cupping notes on this menu are honest. The prices reflect the work in the field, not the work in the cafe. If you are new to matcha, we are happy to walk you through the menu. If you are not, you already know what to order.
